I finally have everything connected and I even made a video of it. It's a 15" L7 (1000 watts rms) wired at 2 ohms in a huge box (don't know the specs of box). With a Hifonics amp pushing around 700-800 watts rms. All connect to a Pioneer Premier 860mp. This video doesn't nearly sound as good as it really sounds. So don't fooled by the video. This system hits really hard. But I might have to sell it maybe later on.

video :)

EDIT: New video

Kicker for teh win! I remember sitting in a SUV that had 3 15 L7's each running a 1000 watt mono Kicker amp, the vibration almost caused me to vomit.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have two 15" L7's in my expedition. It hits 153db's. That thing kills my ears. That's why I never turn it up. ;)

even though the lyrics are incredibly stupid, try playing usda - white girl. the frequencies on that song are very very low.

lol... your's really isn't all that powerful :p

I skimmed through the video, didn't see a full shot of the enclosure at all.

Also, why do people insist on playing rap songs to show off their subwoofers? A lot of hard rock hits more bass than a rap song does... you could also be using demo files for subwoofers.

It depends on how the box and the port is tuned to. Mine is more tuned to rap. The port is tuned at 45 hertz.

Did you build this yourself or buy it prebuilt? Have you measured the SPL? (my terminology might be off...)

A friend of mine built it for me. As for the spl level, I haven't metered it. It's kind of hard tog get the full result when it's in a room.

Just get some basic reading at a couple different frequences or something when you get a chance.
