Buy a .22 for an 11 year old? WTF really? And he wanted to rape her during his rage for being cut off from CoD? LOL that's just too messed up to even contemplate.

me and my bro had bb guns and air pellets at age 9 or 10... and had .22's at 12... we didnt try to kill or rape mom though

I had access to a .22, bow and arrow's and plenty of knives at 11. I also played video games.

I have NEVER wanted to rape my mom or kill her. fuck it never crossed my mind.

this kid is just fucking nuts. he got mad and as he said "something washed over me" and he did it. he completly lost control and went nuts.

he had made threats of killing her before and they brushed it off.

Wow this is horrible, and I feel bad for this kid. He has something mentally wrong with him and was obviously showing remorse after the incident.

He must have just snapped. It would be interesting to know what his upbringing was like (i.e. sexual abuse).

from the story, the dad was really into guns. He actually seems like an alright dad -- employed and stable, but negligent on some important things, like violent video games and firearms.

Which ultimately...took everything away from him.

By the way, in case you folks haven't figured it out already, desura is a tool of the campaign to "fundamentally transform America"

He'll deny it, of course, but I'll take a line from the tried and true troll hunters:

Yeah, I do post too much.

And I'd love to work for an anti-gun organization

because those are my genuine beliefs.

I was wondering that myself. something like this usually has something like Sexual abuse or such.

I doubt sexual abuse. Really.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the family might be one of those crazy religious people who really believe in the end-times.

Do you support the Bill of Rights, and the Constitution of the United States?

Honestly, I'm indifferent to them. I do not view them as holy relics like some people do.

To place so much importance on them, you have to

-- view the FF as minor deities, which is untrue. They were men, ordinary like everyone else

-- believe that people today are irrational and evil. Which is itself irrational and kind of evil.

I think you misunderstand. Those who swore an oath to defend that document don't view it as a "holy relic" either - but rather as the affirmation of natural human rights. Ones which no government can take away.

Likewise, the "Founding Fathers" were simply the intelligent or leading men of the day who when constructing our government argued about human nature, disagreed a lot, and eventually settled on a framework that has stood the test of time longer than any other government of its kind.

Speaking of human nature, I think you are wrong, but only partially so. While there are certainly good and rational people, there are also certainly people who are irrational and/or "evil" as you put it. Speak to a beat cop from East St Louis, Chicago, or any other major metro area with a lot of crime sometime and you will get a perspective that will likely shake your worldview. Assuming you're a rational person, of course.

Imagine if he hadn't killed his mom. How do you go on after that? How could you ever reconcile that your son tried to rape you or that you tried to rape your mom? I assume she would still have been responsible for his care since he was 13.

I've already spent too much time on this, but let me just say that I view the documents as unnecessary because one thing that you learn as you grow up is that the world is fundamentally indifferent, and that poverty is a bigger concern than theoretical rights. So free speech, for instance, is a silly concept IMO. The world doesn't care enough to take away your right to free speech. What the world cares about is you being a loud jerk who bothers other people with speech. So in the US, the biggest cases involving the 1st amendment often involve the Westboro Baptist church or the Nazi party.

So, by that notion, I am kind of indifferent if you use a gun to kill yourself, but I do care if you use the gun to kill 20 children in an elementary school.

This kid has nothing to do with the 2nd amendment, though. I'm simply criticizing the mindset that seems widespread among gun owners that they're protecting from intruders. That might have been why this 13 year old crazy person had such easy access to guns, so a gun safe wouldn't slow him down when the worst home invader of paranoid dreams came knocking on the door.

That is what happens when you live with a bunch of Crooks.

She apparently was into taking pictures of herself in her car...

And she was a master of disguise...

Oh dear, more fuel for the anti-video game crowd. Games now officially make you rape and kill your mom.

Also, fantastic editing job Daily Mail.
The father explained o the jury that his was was the disciplinarian in the family, and had a stormy but loving relationship with their son.

Also kid's a ginger. They have no souls. :hmm:

Considering that she bought an 11 year old boy a rifle capable of killing people, she probably owned a handgun.

Now, if she had a handgun in the kitchen cabinet and not somewhere else in the house, she might have shot him first. So really, the answer is MOAR GUNS.

EXACTLY...because restricting guns is all bad and stuff.

Cabinet? Hell, she should have had that shit strapped to her side!

Agreed.

Yes the actual murder of his mother trumps the Oedipus complex. Not sure where you place it on your horror scale.

Way to miss the point.

I was given my first rifle on my 12th birthday. I owned BB guns and knives before that, and have been shooting handguns since I was 9.

Some people are fucked in the head, whether they're 12 or 20 or 75.

Yeah and I think that's stupid. My friends have guns and teach their kids to use them etc but they have them locked up in safes and the ammo is kept separate. Who in their right mind would allow a little kid access to a weapon and ammo? Forgot murder for a moment. I'd be most concerned about accidents.
