Should've been a little more clear that the auction did not include any VHS tapes. I got it, but then I was taught reading comprehension skills in the old days.

I agree that her auction is slightly confusing, given that she put it in the "VHS" category. However, if he had read it carefully, he probably would realize that it is not a VHS, but a companion manual. Next time, she should put in a picture (it is free after all to put one in), and list it with other books (like you mentioned).

About the check issue, she says at the bottom: "I accept Paypal, and money order/cashiers check. Checks have to clear before shipment. " I would interpret that to mean that personal checks have to clear before shipment. I don't know why she'd say that when referring to cashiers checks, since the purpose in accepting a cashiers check is the security of knowing that it will post (as opposed to a personal check, which may not).

You have to make sure you make your auctions for the Lowest Common denominator. The description makes sense but you have write them so that even the slowest can understand it. People no longer read all of the details. How do you think the "empty box" scams on EBay work so well?
