I won't investigate your numbers because I don't have time. However I feel a better comparison would be per mile travelled not per hour travelled. In a trip from LA to NY, you'll spend many more hours driving than you would flying. Thus the per hour comparison is not the best comparison to make. Since a plane would travel about ten times as fast as an auto, the change to using per mile data would increase the ratio from 3-5 to 30-50, would it not?Originally posted by: PipBoy
