Xanax is your friend. 🙂

That's what my wife & her mother takes whenever they have to fly.

Personally, I love flying. I'd enjoy it even more if they had more leg room :|

#2 is derived, if you are interested see the analysis I did in this old post.
I won't investigate your numbers because I don't have time. However I feel a better comparison would be per mile travelled not per hour travelled. In a trip from LA to NY, you'll spend many more hours driving than you would flying. Thus the per hour comparison is not the best comparison to make. Since a plane would travel about ten times as fast as an auto, the change to using per mile data would increase the ratio from 3-5 to 30-50, would it not?

However I would like to compliment you on all the effort you took in making such a nice post in that old thread. It is always nice to see someone putting thought into a post.

Yep, I do get nervous thinking about if I'm being seated between two severely overweight individuals, someone who doesn't believe in taking baths, or one who cannot stop talking about their problems. I always hope I get someone normal next to me.

LOL, back when i enjoyed to fly more, I flew from Orlando to Denver to go snowboarding next to a guy who was dressed like a cowboy and smelled like a cows ass. I was to scared to ask to move but the flight attendant chick could tell and moved me, gotta love the hawt stewardess'. 😀

BTW, I do plan on popping a xanax just to help me sleep, looks like both flights will be red eyes with stopoffs in VEGAS 😀.

One more bump and does anyone know if theres slots in the vegas airport? Quarter? nickle? (id rather save money for booze 😀)

LOL.

Well, everyone get nervous over something. You are not the only one about plane rides. Imagine tons of steel in the air, and if something goes wrong, only way is down. You have no control over it, that is the nervous part.

Is that supposed to make him feel better?

no, i sleep on long plane rides

I've never been able to nap on plane trips, every time I start to nod off I'd wake up.
Never had a problem on a plane, I always bring something to read. Mostly I just hate
the waiting around.

it unnerved me when I flew to Phoenix a couple of weeks ago. I sat in the exit row (leg room!) and got to thinking that there really would be nothing to prevent someone yanking opewn the emergency exit and causing a catastrophic decompression of the plane. That would be bad....

Yeah, them machines are everywhere. I'll bet the urinals will be converted in the future 🙂

Last time I flew was to/from Vegas from PA. last year. I kinda doubt i'll ever do it again. The puddle jumper from Harrisburg to Dulles wasn't so bad. But that takeoff, turbulence, and landing on the jumbo jets is enough to make me wanna jump. Landing is the worst, seems to go on forever. All that banking and what I hear as slowing down while still at max altitude, or so it seems to me, scares the crap out of me. Of course I remained calm, never let'em see ya sweat sorta thing

I think i'll drive next time tho, take in the scenic sites along the way 🙂

I flew from portland to amsterdam last year, and indeed it did suck. Being crammed in the small-a$$ seats and not being able to move around for 14 hours is BRUTAL. I can't imagine what it must be like for people who fly like that regularly. I had a GBA, and I beat zelda and mario world and I still had so much freaking time to kill.

And to make it even worse, the movies that they played were XXX and the banger sisters. Not even the free drinks could help......
