agreed 100%, bought some of their stuff in DC like a table, couch and a few other items because it was cheap and man does it suck.....

I guess we take it for granted there's 1 just down the road while seemingly everyone from the tri-state area flocks to one of the three IKEAs for their weekends. All the time - the parking lot is a mess - unbelievable. We find the majority of their furniture very flimsy and unsturdy. Some are good for the price, but not the best to furnish a home with. Good for apartments and temporary settings.

We bought a bunch of Ikea stuff when we moved to NJ when my daughter was a baby - that's 18 years ago. A lot of it we still have, still good. The stuff in the stores isn't anything like it used to be - not as well made, not as much real wood. Well, some of the bookcases are the same.
We've been hanging out at the restaurant lately, they have a "family meal" special where you get two adult meals and a bunch of kid meals for $10, total. Can't beat that. I don't remember that from any other Ikea, might be just because this is one of the newer ones?
