<< They dropped the weight limit from 140 to 130. Coach says he did it to put less of a strain on male cheerleaders who have to lift them. Activists say it promotes eating disorders.
Saw on Headline News just now.
I don't know about you, but I don't think that 130 lbs is in the "eating disorder" category. Try 90 lbs!!😛 >>
I'm 90 pounds and stand at almost 5'4. I've never had a eating disorder in my life, and am perfectly healthy as well, probably healthier then most people at that.
I've even gone so far as to seeing a nutritionist regarding my health. I eat healthy , drink healthy, and live healthy, and I find most people who do all of these things are quite skinny. Now you might get this image of some skeletal figure when you think of that, but I am far from that, I dont look sickly or skinny to the point I look starved, yet I'm still 90 pounds.
You can have a eating disorder at any weight, some people are naturally skinny with a high metabolism, and some people get there a healthy way (eating right, exercising).
Anyhow catagorizing weight range with eating disorders as you did in your last sentence, is far to much of a overgeneralization, and quite ignorant one at that. By those presumed standards I have a eating disorder, which is not true. I hope no one out there really assumes just by looking at a person, perhaps based on weight, that they must have a eating disorder. >>
That last comment was made in jest, hence the smilie face. Do you think I go around asking people how much they weigh? I just threw 90 lbs out there. If you have a problem with that, take it up with my lawyer😉
