My power turned on and off about six times before giving up the ghost at bedtime last night. It was out for quite a while but on when I awoke.

So much for a smooth shutdown of F@H and changing to PrimeGrid for a bit.

TVA, "You may never give any thought to our extensive power transmission system. That’s because we’re doing our job. We’ve delivered 99.999 percent reliability since the year 2000."

Yeah, right! :weary:

Here are the stats for December 18, 2016., and the 17th day of the 11th Annual Folding@Home Holiday Season Race.
The stats are from http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_list.php?s=, updated at 21:00 UTC (=3pm CST).
Only the points count. The ppd is there for information only.

Well, the drop in production by The Snowmen is in part due to power outage for Tony, but also due to the PrimeGrid Race, where Tony, Ken_g6 and many others take part. Therefore the Folding@Home race will be very variable for the next three days.

Also some racers are returning ... welcome back!

Ok, this is all for today. I'll see the next days stats and then we will see how the numbers are ...

Looking at Markfw's rig, I think I know where there is some hard drive space available. :tonguewink:

Only one problem with 3 cards. The EVGA Precision OC software will only control 2 of them. 400 mhz lower on the 3rd card. May have to put number 3 in another box... crap

MSI AfterBurner

I found the EVGA Precision tool interesting only as an auto-overclock tool, where it tests the max overclock. And it didn't go as high as I have it now.

Now that you know what speed the two cards can run at, assume the third card can do the same, use afterburner, go to settings and check synchronize settings and start with windows, close settings, bump up the power to 110%, clock to +150 (on a stock card, less for factory overclock), press ENTER, save as profile 1.

Here are the stats for December 20, 2016., and the 19th day of the 11th Annual Folding@Home Holiday Season Race.

The teams' stats

The two teams have folded more than 1 billion points together. That is a massive number if points! Well done!

The yetis vs. The snowmen

The sub-teams daily production

It is very evident, that more folders have left The Snowmen than The Yetis.
Also the PrimeGrid Winter Solstice race has impacted the Snowmen heavily: while Mark_F_ Williams folds on in the Yetis, TennesseTony crunches primes ...

I am proposing one more leveling the of the subteams and to run the last part as a separate race. Please let me know what you think!
If a folder has not delivered any points in 4 days, that folder will be moved into the "passive" group (below the dotted line. If a folder resumes folding, and has done so for two days, thet folder will be moved to the active group (above the dotted line). It does not matter for the results of the teams since all points are counted, but it makes a better overview.

The PrimeGrid race is over. Could have gone a little better if a few more people had put a few more machines on it.

In any case...

I'm back from PrimeGridding, and a power flicker while I was at work shut down my cable modem. Yeah. Everything else restarted, but I have no idea how long my little farm animals went without internet. Long enough for everybody to be out of work. Yeah.

Anywho, should be back up to 4.3M ppd soon-ish.

The primegrid race ended during the past 24 hours. Some of the folders will restart folding. Thus i expect The Snowmen's production to climb.
I'll wait with the balancing/restructuring of the sub-teams for one or two days ...

We will probably break the 1 billion-points-produced-in-one-month milestone in December 2016 ...
