We factored that in. Before you can apply the read -> pwn technique, you should make sure you can read.

Yeah the "pwn technique" Why don't you find something else to do with your pathetic self, MrDoucheBag.

BTW: There is no way to know how many txt messages she received vs sent. Unless you assume she sent one for every one that she received. I get messages all the time that I don't respond to. This also doesn't include 1 text sent to 10 people.

Personal attacks on members isn't allowed here. You've been here since '04. Don't tell me you didn't know that. You can reread the rules on your week vacation.

Your substitution in my username was really witty. Nice. Apparently you can't detect any type of sarcasm, either. You thought you caught us red handed, but really you just didn't read the posts correctly. I'm sorry it offended you, but your little lash out just now was pretty funny.

I'm actually waiting for a program I wrote to compile and run, but I'll make a mental note to find something better to do with my pathetic self than develop programs like I'm supposed to do at work and browse the net for 5 minutes between compilations. Ouch, the burn.

This is why my kids will never have a cellphone.

I survived without one and they will too.

So I'm understanding that the 11,712 number combines sent AND received messages. OK. But as far as SENT messages, what about the ones where one message is sent to multiple people? (Someone mentioned 39 messages x 10 people as an example.)

Is there any way to determine how many original texts were sent (i.e. not counting multiple copies)? That would give us a better idea of how much actual thumburbating is going on.

IMs count as text messages on most plans, 1 line of text sent or received is usually a message. I've seen accounts with 35-40k messages per line, it's nothing that unusual these days.

One thing people don't realize, if you login to AIM on your phone, and then on your computer, it doesn't logoff on the phone. All messages you receive while on your computer also go to your phone.

all you have to do is prevent them from texting. Not that hard.

Generally I think its a good idea for them to have phones, as long as they are not abused.

Yep. Get them the phone, then call into CS and ask them to block text/mms/wix. It takes a few seconds to kick in, they can still use the *PAY type services most carriers have, just can't send or receive all other types of data/text.

If I were a teacher I'd text the parent using the kid's phone with exactly what they're doing and their latest test/homework scores. That'd pretty much stop those kind of shenanigans.

Well that's why AT&T came out with Smart Limits. You can set it so your kids' phones don't work during school hours, except to call you or your house or work for emergencies. You can also set a limit on minuts, texts, downloads, purchases, whatever.

Sucks they suspended the service temporarily, until they get the 911 glitch fixed.

Any one else have a teenager that takes "unlimited" to this extent?

Time to get an unlimited text message plan? Do you already have one?

You are clearly grasping at straws. Mocking a username pretty much means you are out of legitimate things to say. Watch, I can do it too: 40TruckDriversTrainedMyMom. Also, what is your obsession with the word dude? Please provide one example of when I used the word dude like you just did, 40InchVaginaStretchedOverMyHead.

16 total... prolly average of 8 SENT per hour.

If you take out that school and sleep are 7-8 hours each, it's about 20 SENT per hour.

Probably, but absurd nonetheless. Nobody has THAT many interesting things that need said THAT often, and there's NO way that it's not happening during class and such.

lol, grasping at straws? I really don't think my last post grasped at anything but ok, dude. I already explained what I wanted to quite a few posts above which you decided to ignore.

I mean really dude, you need to chill out and stop worrying about how some teenage girl decides to talk to her friends.
