Supposed to break 90 here, barely, tomorrow, but today, yesterday, and the rest of the forecast is for lower 80's, upper 70's. Such beautiful summers - you can spend an entire day outside without suffering from the heat. Spent half of yesterday kayaking in a river regatta. :)

This year's summer has been (fairly) pleasant so far here in texas. In my part, we're averaging upper 90s for most of the daily highs so far. Contrast that to last year, we had weeks of 110+ last year at this time.

It broke the state record here in VA last week with a top of 117F, not mentioning the 80MPH storm right after that knocked most people in VA out of power, leaving everything rotting in boiling weather.

This week is going to be well above 100F and my AC is just constantly fighting with my monitors and my rig.

WAH!

Was in Zion Canyon hiking in 104 degree weather last weekend - Thankfully it was a dry heat but at 5500 ft in elevation it sure takes it out of ya!

2-weeks ago I was in NYC for the 104 degree days - my god the city stunk - and the humidity was unbearable!

Good luck!

Human brain starts to die at 106 degree outdoor temperature
Gas will be $5/gallon before the 2008 election
You need to fill out paperwork and provide ID when purchasing vinegar
We will see food prices tripling in the near future causing riots
Milk is at $5/gallon

What do all of these have in common?

it's 27C (80F) in my office right now, a little sticky, but not too bad with the AC blowing directly on me. I could bring it down to 22 but I like leaving the door open and hvac fan on so it can help do the rest of the house.

It's a scorcher out there today. 33C right now. Started to sweat as soon as I walked outside.

Chicago Hits 103 Again, For 3rd Straight Day Of Triple Digit Temps

Chicago broke another record for heat on Friday as the temperature reached 103 degrees again, making it the third straight day the mercury has reached triple digits in the city.

The 100 degree reading around 12:45 p.m. at O’Hare International Airport broke the record of 99 for July 6.

The temperature continued to climb Friday afternoon, reaching 103 by 3 p.m.

Chicago also broke the July 5 record on Thursday when temperatures hit 103. We equaled the record on July 4 at 102.

The only other time Chicago has seen three days of triple digit heat was July 3-5, 1911.

It dropped to 20C (68F) in the past hour here. Perfect temp... too bad it's raining though.

AC running, house is actually cooling off a bit now. Was 25ish when I got home from work.
