>>what i mean is, what would be a good scene to show the improvements?
A large open bright area. That tiny little dark room looking at a doorway is hardly much to look at. Maybe Dunes (not the "dunes" part. Any shot where you can see the ground for some distance. BF1942 is another game that looks much better with the filtering. I cant use it since my FPS goes to cr@p.
>>only certain scenes will show improvement?
Sort of. Anisotropic filter makes distant textures more in focus. If there is no distance to see (like your shots), you cant see the benefit. AA will matter most on sweeping curves and angles.
>>only certain scenes will "look better" for that fps hit?
No, all scenes. Some more than others, some games more than others. For instance fight and auto racing games have a great improvemnet with AA.
>>how long are you gonna stare at that "certain scene" anyways?
The visual improvement of AA and anisotropic filtering are well known and documented in many articles all over the net. It is not a debateable topic. If you are happy playing 1024 x 768 with no AA and no anisotopic fitering, there is no need to move beyond a GF4 level card at this time. What a 9700 type card brings to the table is the ability to use the filters, get the improved IQ, and still have very playable framerates.
>>are you a camper? .... j/k!

In SS, I dont think you could camp even if you wanted to.
>>you should probably pay more attention to the 10 warebulls and 20 klesk that are heading straight for ya

Only 10? What are you, a "tourist"?
>>YEA BABY!
