Secondly: What other solution is there other than disarming Iraq and taking over it? Allow Saddam Hussein to stay in power? He's been involved in the killing of over 2 million of his own people, and yet he should stay in power. Have you not seen the many Iraqi citizens parading in the street, cheering in their own language something to the extent of "The bastard is going to die." Lets hear it, what sort of damage ratio/land does a cruise missile have, I beg to have your intellect dawned upon me. You have no clue what 1000 cruise missiles can do, neither do I. Do you have any idea of the explosive capacity in them?

I honestly think that if the us wanted the UN to take action they would have; IMO they were just waiting to call their bluff, and the US wanted nothing else but war; secondly you're on the internet find the damn capacity of the explosives yourself.

1000 missiles is too many? Hell, did you see the size of that one palace complex along the Tigris? That complex alone I'd have sent a 1000 missiles. It's not like you send one missile and it blows up everything for a 100 yards around; they don't even take down a building.

Yeah. I found it odd how one missile could barely take down a building. And if they are indeed precise, I guess it's not that bad.

they showed how the missiles could go through an entire building w/out blowing 'til it was inside, so the building might not have fallen, but all inside it is pretty much gone. makes teh missiles appear more benign

Well, I wouldn't take it that far.

But they looked pretty effective. Blow up from inside. As much as I don't like destruction, it was interesting.
