100 mph club

I didn't know there was a club, but I'm in.

My GLH ran a 14.2 at 102mph

Sweet! Now get sticky tires and get into the 13's 😉

What track did you run? I was going to take the MR2 to Speedworld last week but it threw a CEL, so I'm going to fix that first.

Similar to the "mile high club," I thought this thread would be about having sex in a car going 100 mph. I am disappoint.

My car can do mid 12's stock, so... Can I get a sticker without bothering to actually do the race? 😉

Can do and HAS DONE are two different things.

I didn't know there was a 100MPH club, hell I thought damn near everyone could get in there. Shit, my minivan has been nearly 100..... 😵

Your minivan can get to 100MPH in 1/4 mile?

There have been many minivans hitting 100 in the 1/4. Mine is damn close and I wasn't really even trying to get there. I had my cooler and grille packed up since the track day was almost over.

My car has been WELL over 100 in the 1/4, and it was past 100MPH when it was bone stock to the paper filter.

on my bike ive done a bit more than 100 in the 1/4 mile. in my truck i wont go over 90ish tho.

i was at the "run what ya brung" drags last friday nite and there were two vw bus trucks racing. 22 and 23 seconds for the 1/4 mile. was funny to watch, like slow motion.

That's not quite as fast as a horse.

That is awesome. I'd have loved to have seen that.

This makes me want to take my truck out to a "run what ya brung" race.

Nope, because I'd be shocked if you actually ran mid-12's on your first time at the track. 😉

Launching can be tricky - my first time at the drag strip with my Forester, I ran 14.7 @ 98mph and 13.65 @ 100mph. The run is really made in the launch.

Do it.

I've watched a van like this one win first place for the whole event running 16s all night.

If you just want to have fun, do bracket racing. It eliminates the "my wallet is bigger than urz" factor and makes it's all about driver skill.

Nope.

Many 10 second cars that run 14s.

This ^

I love some of the dyno queens that show up bragging about low slips they can easily get, only to watch the driver's abomination of a launch and a 14 second slip come back.

I've seen cars over the 1000 WHP mark come running 13's all day.
