You just hit 100 there? Here in the San Joaquin Valley in CA, we've had 100+ temps for about a week.

Where in the valley are you?

I used to live there. It's one of the reasons I moved to CO.

LOL...can't wait to move out to AZ. I honestly enjoy the snow though, so I'll miss having the seasonal change like Michigan. I guess I can always drive and go skiing somewhere.

52 degrees here in Minneapolis. You can have your hot summer in exchange for the nice winter 🙂

Minnesota's hot and muggy summers aren't really much better, unfortunately.

And here I thought we were warm at 97. Still think I'll leave the A/C on.

I will say i rather it be a dry 97 then a humid 90. Now anything above 107ish...thats just way hot.

Dry. Right you are. We are now 95 with a heat index of 92. The humidity is 22%.

Currently in Tempe, moving west though.

And EvilYoda, you can drive 2-3 hours north to the snowbowl and ski all you want 🙂

Actually they still had snow about 2 weeks ago. I am going to guess that since the grand canyon is hitting 85 today that its all melted though.

The worst is that not only is it going to be 104-107 outside today, tonight it won't get below 85 either, so you can't even open the windows to get some cool air in the house overnight. That and TEP's electricity prices are through the roof this year.

OP, I didn't know any fellow Tucsonans posted here. We should go grab a beer sometime.

I've only been to tuscon twice to get someone from the airport, anything really exciting to do there?

I have experienced 100+ degrees a few of times in my life. I don't understand how ANYBODY can live anywhere where it hits 100+ on a semi-regular basis.

In Chicago, if we get 100 degrees for a few days (maybe once every 5-10 years), and on the news, it's all about people dying from heat stroke!

In the winter you can always bundle up, so the cold isn't bad (usually doesn't get much colder than 10-20 below 0 anyhow), but in the summer, if you gotta be outside, there is no defense from the death heat!

I don't miss that AZ heat at all! It was 75 and sunny here in VA yesterday and still got cool enough at night to leave the windows open.
