In finland the amount of traffic fines can increase with your wealth. NPR reported that some big NOKIA executive was doing about 45 mph in a 31 and got the hundred grand fine. for real. there is a formula that the cops can do with their computers on the spot, by accessing tax records. ouch!!!!!!!!!

<< uh, im not working now.. hmm. time to take a trip to finland and do speeding... $0 fine 😀 >>

lol

Well, actually, if the amount of the fine is a function of your income, paying a big fine is a good thing. It simply means you're bloody rich. Now if only the driver is assessed the fine, then hire a driver, pay his fine and keep the balance.

Repost of a repost of a repost!

And like I have said several times: if you have no income and you are caught speeding, you still have to pay the fine. There is a minimium amount you have to pay. And these enormous fines have caused people to pay attention to this thing, and they are currently planning to change the law so that there is a ceiling for the fines. The amount of the fine will go up with your income, but not after certain limit.
