10K today. Half on paved kinda plowed trails and half on unpaved single track with 8 inches of snow. Was fun!

10.1 miles on nothing but snow covered single track trail. Was a relatively balmy 27F with an 18 mph wind putting the wind chill at around 14F.
Got a good feel for my footing with my Ascend Gloves. And kept a decent pace despite the multiple inches of snow 9:45min/mile.

Thats my last long run now time to taper for my 50K.

+5K at an easy pace. Which happened to be 8:25min/mile. Kinda crazy that that pace is easy now. Anyways it was nice out 42F!!!

I'm with you. I ran "easy" to save myself for my pacing duties Saturday night/Sunday morning and still came away with 8:29 mm. Not even winded either. 4.6 miles done in perfect FL weather. 80F, sunny, and breezy.

Yeah I wasnt winded at all and my HR was back under 100bpm in under 2 minutes. Kinda loving how I good I feel especially 2 weeks before my first Ultra

My n00bish impression is that you are going to crush it, you are so much more prepared for this race than I ever have been for mine. :)

I am not even thinking about crushing it at this point I just want to finish. I think if it was nice weather with no snow then yeah I'd crush the hell out of it, but given what the RD has been writing that will not be the case whatsoever. It sounds like the RD is going to do all they can to pack the snow down as much as they can on the trail and hope for the best. Because of how difficult snow running is I am just going to shoot for finishing without any time goal in mind. Basically my 2 fears going into this race are did I train enough(which I think every new distance runner fears) and hoping my feet stay relatively dry and warm. I know if I get cold wet feet it'll be REALLY hard for me. But I'm taking multiple pairs of socks and shoes so hopefully that can be mitigated. If you pressed me for a goal it'll be simply run aid station to aid station and keeping my pace at 5 miles per hour.

Anyways, another 3.1 miles at 8:30mm pace in 34F pouring freezing rain/sleet/snow.

3.1 miles at an easy 8:55 pace. I have to save myself for pacing my buddy Renee thru the night tonight at Ancient Oaks 100. She's counting on me to help her get the ladies win. No pressure, right?

6.5 miles this morning. Between the wind and the flooding I almost missed the treadmill.

24.2 miles run in the dark thru the Enchanted Forest. I only tripped once and my runner wound up finishing second female, fifth overall. 100.3 miles in 24:39.

Nice job.

Only six miles today. Having a hard time motivating lately.

4.3 miles in my new Saucony Grid Virratas. They ride quite a bit differently than my Brooks Green Silence shoes, more forefoot. But I was able to comfortably keep an 8:31mm pace. I'll keep them.
