13 miler this morning. Battling a bit of a sore throat, but the energy levels are good and I actually negative-split by a minute on the way back.

What speed do you average on your runs?

Well, today was 1:26:30 ish for the 13 miles, so that's 6:39-6:40 per mile (14.5km/h). Pretty standard for my aerobic runs.

My recovery runs are about 7:00 - 7:10/mile, (13.8-13.5 km/h) and my long runs are about 6:45 - 6:50/mile (14.3-14.1 km/h)

For tempo runs, marathon pace is 6:00-6:05/mile (16.1-15.9 km/h) and half-marathon pace is about 5:45/mile (16.8 km/h).

6 + 5 + 6 since I last posted. It was snowing like a mofo when I drove home today so I couldn't wait to get out and run in that stuff. Unfortunately, by the time I got dressed and went outside, all the clouds had blown over and the blizzard had ceased to be. So I didn't feel nearly as hardcore as I thought I would... But it was still good to run outside in the snow and I did have one woman yell at me, "You're crazy dude!" I told her I hear that a lot...

2.3 mile warmup, then the final race in the Freezeroo series; a 10K race in about 38 minutes. My bloomers/pantaloons/stripey pirate pants got soaking wet and starting falling down around 2 miles in. Shortly before the 3 mile mark I said screw it, pulled off the road and took them off. Luckily I had compression shorts on underneath. I tried running with them tied around my neck for a while but they kept becoming untied so I threw them in a snowbank. Ran faster than I thought I would, which is promising. Ran about 5 miles as a cooldown and picked up me pants then. Won my age group for the series! Sadly, they did not recognize me as the fastest pirate. 🙁 13.5 miles total, rounding down to 13.

My boy and I did about 10 miles on the roads where we live, the hills were awesome with the snow that's fallen and the snow that was falling.

Did 6 miles this morning. Sore throat and some congestion is clearing up a bit but I still feel a little run down. I think I'll take a couple rest days just to be safe.

I ran 3 miles on Wednesday and 2 miles via HIIT yesterday. I'll add 5 miles to the competition 🙂 I think I'll be around in this thread a bit more. Howdy, fellas.

6 miles with the girl today. paced her for a tempo run. Felt kind of queasy from eating a garbage plate for lunch but the run helped. I had terrible gas though. Poor girl!!!
