so how is that hotel carter still open?

Must be one of the cheapest in the borough. Hotels in NYC can be pretty bad if you don't have money. It's always better to stay in NJ <insert predictable joke about NJ here> if possible and commute into the city.

I'm not picky about my sleeping quarters, and I dig retro grunge, but I'd have to draw the line at that place. Find a diner, and sleep in a booth :^D

Go to India, those pics will look like the goddamn hilton

True. Some of the nice hotels in India are pretty swank, though.

the swank ones have their own problems though, worse than cockroaches

I've stayed basically all over India, including very rural areas that didn't even have running water. I never saw anything that nasty.

A lack of services is one thing (India), but having soiled linens, mold, etc. is another.

Yeah, I think if you take pride in your work and aren't only fixated on profit, it doesn't matter how much money you start with. You can still provide a decent service

Just sick, looks like damm 3rd world crap, just pathetic Americans would allow that.

NYC health inspectors should shut that down, what bums! 🙁

$130 a night...holy crap.

The worst hotel that I ever stayed at was certainly worse than that, but it was less than $1 a night in the third world, so...
