BS, you care about the specs, just not like you used to.I'm 34 and to me computer specs are meaningless now. No offense towards anyone who are in their 30's and into computers. Everyone has their hobbies. Just trying to gauge an age when perhaps the flair of Tri-Sli, 20 gigs of RAM, SSD, wears off.

Don't believe me? Let me put you on a 1GHz machine with 256 ram.
I could get away with basic web browsing just fine on a tuned up 1ghz machine running Win2k and only 256 meg of Ram. I just have to know it's limits.

Young kids don't care much about specs because computers "just work" for them.
the problem with the "keeping up with the joneses" mentality on computer specs is EVERYTHING and i mean EVERYTHING you have in your computer is no longer the top of the line. even if you were to go out and buy top of the line, by the time you came back here to post about it... it would be obsolete again.
I'm 23. I care a lot, but I don't really play games much anymore. I care b/c I do research in CFD, and the faster my system is, the less time I spend waiting, haha
