At times I have been close. Back before I was working a few months back I was drinking like 1 and 2 bottles of vodka a week due to depression. Now that I'm working I've stopped that. I now drink maybe a bottle of wine a week or so. Sometimes a bit more sometimes a bit less. However when I do drink it I tend to down it in a few mins 😛

Nope it's an $11 bottle of wine. Cheapest I could get at the local cold beer and wine store, don't have a BC liquor store close by but that would likely only be 8-9 bucks at the least. Here's a pic:

wine is just not a fun drunk. it can be devastating the next day.

also....liquor and cheap beer is for getting drunk. Don't waste wine on that, unless, as mentioned, it was a 2 dollar bottle or something.
 
Cab sauv is not the easiest to drink IMO.

And I don't drink wine to get drunk, but whatever floats your boat.
 
Not really proof I guess but here's the bottle empty. You can check the time stamps if you like but it's more than 2-3mins since I had to take and upload the photos + resize.

I actually like the feeling of getting drunk on wine more than the feeling of liquor drunk. Also with a bottle of wine I know I'm not going to drink more than the whole bottle, with a bottle of booze there's the issue of stopping yourself from drinking the whole bottle of booze.

Meh.. that is not the best way to do it IMO. I drink alcohol cos.. I like the taste of it.. not to get a buzz. Drinking a $30-$40 bottle of Scotch over the week > Consuming cheap liquor in a few mins.

I don't trust myself with a bottle of vodka or the like to stop at the right point. I know with the wine I will finish the bottle and get a little drunk but no more.

....No... not really. I can't say that I have ever considered having to stop myself from drinking a whole bottle of liquor to be an issue.
