Meh.. that is not the best way to do it IMO. I drink alcohol cos.. I like the taste of it.. not to get a buzz. Drinking a $30-$40 bottle of Scotch over the week > Consuming cheap liquor in a few mins.

Yeah I don't doubt that I may have a bit of an issue with alcohol, though I wouldn't say I'm an alcoholic yet. My main issues have been with depression and anxiety which has led to drinking. Luckily I have a job now and latter I plan on going back to school to finish my degree. So long as I focus on these and not the depression things should be not too bad. It's on my days off like today that I tend to get down and drink a bit.

Not really proof I guess but here's the bottle empty. You can check the time stamps if you like but it's more than 2-3mins since I had to take and upload the photos + resize...

You seem to think there is some value in downing a bottle quickly...some value in making it known.
Is there some point in this?

Yeah.. I follow your threads pretty closely(Not stalking 😛). It definitely sucks but, can't you divert any attention to different things like picking a hobby, going to gym, playing video games(You have a pretty cool setup) or something like that. I know its easier said than done.. just my $0.02.

Oh.. and I am happy that you have decided to get a degree.. I wish you well in your future endeavors.

😱

www.aa.org <--- Please use it sir.

My real issue has always been and will always been emotional. I don't drink that much now and don't plan to in the future, except maybe as social occasions. I'm not saying that I don't have a problem. I do. But it's much more a problem with depression and anxiety than anything else. I have taken steps to solve these issues, on meds, and probably should take more steps. But I thank you for your concern.

Thanks! What I really need is to give my life some forward momentum. I'm actually quite happy at work, get along with my co-workers well and make friends. However on my days off I tend to collapse so to speak. The things I need to do are move out of the parents house, start to seriously think about my education and future, and start to socialize more. Unfortunately it's easier to just sleep on my days off 🙁

You did just chug a bottle of wine. 😉

Uh huh... so you went out and bought the cheapest bottle of wine to chug down as fast as you can because you can't trust yourself with not drinking an entire bottle of liquor. If this isn't a demonstration of your inability to control your drinking I don't know what is. I can't see how you could honestly tell yourself that you aren't an alcoholic.
