<< don't make assumptions about types of music you don't listen to. >>

Music I don't listen to? I bet there isn't one person in this forum who hasn't heard N'Sync. They're everywhere, how can you NOT listen to it? You're really proving things to us here on your own. N'Sync is not a bad group, I didn't say that, but literally anyone can sing their songs who can at least hold a tune. There are not that many difficult things in their vocals and creativity? I've never heard much. There are a few n'sync songs, and maybe 2 by Backstreet which I truly consider 'different' or 'creative'. I have enough respect for them to at least say that, but try to let one of them sing a Tool song. I doubt any would be able to handle the ranges or intensity of the demanding vocals without some serious practice.

<< That's what music is about...listening to it because you like it, not because of the backround of the musicians or anything like that >>

Then stop passing judgement in every music thread of an artist you don't like. I've seen you do this a number of times Deeko; you're one of the first to respond in a music thread, comparing the artist to N'Sync or 98 Degrees and turning the thread into a flame war. It's annoying and serves no purpose to the creator of the thread.

Just look at the last line in your first post: "runs away before horribly flamed"

Start practicing what you preach.

Deeko, please listen to some Led Zeppelin songs. They are mainly love-themed songs, which you seem to enjoy. If you like them, good - you will finally see what a GOOD band is like. If you hate them, then it just proves your either gay or a 14 year old girl, because thats the only reason to listen to that boyband crap.

Just because he doesn't listen to stuff you like, doesn't mean it's crap. Some of it is decent music, but it's too repetitive for my tastes and many others. Let's try to keep the flames down and the arguments objective.

Yeah, APC was great in concert. I saw them when they were opening for Nine Inch Nails so they only played 5 songs :( Maynard really gets into his music...you can tell he's lost in it when he sings.

Deeko...just...just go away.

I really think the Simpsons did an excellent job of portraying boy bands of today. I especially loved the part where the producer put the kid's voices through an amazing "manly" filter to actually make them sound decent...AND how he gave them the scripts to sing from. The whole thing is just funny...and what makes it funnier is that there are people trying to compare NSync w/ TOOL or APC... Just makes me laugh...:)

<< Deeko, are you a 15 year old girl? >>

What would posses you to say something as pointless as that?

<< Music I don't listen to? I bet there isn't one person in this forum who hasn't heard N'Sync. They're everywhere, how can you NOT listen to it? >>

There's a difference between really listening to something and occasionally hearing it on the radio or somethin.

<< but literally anyone can sing their songs who can at least hold a tune >>

A common misconception.

Yea, but I do it jokingly. Anyone with any sense would know that I am joking. I have no problem with music I don't like. If you wanna listen to it, I could care less. I said the part about running away before I was flamed because I knew that some idiot would take me too seriously and get upset. You people need to lighten up.

I wonder how many times I will say this before some of you will figure it out. I HAVE LISTENED TO OTHER MUSIC. In fact, I have most of it. I just don't like it. Why would you say that I'm gay or a girl if I prefer pop music to led zepplin? Why? How could music preference be in any way tied to sexual preference? How? I've heard Zeppelin, I don't like it, I still like pop. Guess what, I'm a guy, and I'm not gay. My dear god.........

Good, at least someone understood that it was supposed to be funny....

Yes, but you have to be aware that such a post, even a joke, will ultimately turn into a flame war. As a comparison, imagine if I was the first person to reply to a thread entitled "What's the best P4 motherboard" by saying "Intel sucks! :)" Even if I was joking, given the nature of the topic, it will turn into a flame war and the original intent of the thread would be lost. This is called trolling.

I imagine skywhr posted this thread in order to share his thoughts on the concert with other fans. You came in and started comparing them to N'Sync. Had you not posted, this thread would have stayed on topic. You obviously had nothing to share about A Perfect Circle, so you had no reason to post.

If you want to hear the real deeko, check this out.

The guy talks about voice quality, then records that stuff? Please.

I feel that Maynard has an excellent voice. But what sets him apart is the fact that he has credibility. No teen-pop band has credibility. They are in it for cash alone. I don't have a problem with that, hell I would take the money and run. But to even begin to compare NSync with an artist like Maynard is ludicrous.

Another good one....oh, I didn't take the songs down. Maybe Webjump removed them or something.

Deeko...when i said that you comparing NSync to TOOL was funny, I meant that there is no debate whatsoever between the two. They are two completely different forms of music - one and good (TOOL) and one is awful (NSync). Hah... No, but seriously, they're WAY to different to even think about being compared to one another. If this thread was something about the Backstreet Boys, then i could see you debating over them. But you're trying to compare a boy band to a completely opposite genre. Please don't embarass yourself anymore in this thread and let it be.

Much Thanks in Advance!

I thought I'd point something out to you, since you are obviously too blind to read it yourself. All I said in the my first post was that I didn't think they were the best....the thread poster proceeded to call me uninformed and naive, and then HE brought up NSync. Maybe if you people could read, it would help you out a bit.

Alot is said in ones signature. I brought up N'Suck because its right there in your sig. Why shouldnt I mention it to someone who responded to a thread just to nef, get flamed, or start an argument. So yeah I brought up N'Suck.

And if I'm not mistaken your the one who thought it was a good idea to compare the two groups.

hmm...so we're talking about singers are we? hmm...wanna compare voices? i betcha nsync wins even joey

The sad part is that with all of the vocalists in N'Suck noe of them compare to the one singer in A Perfect Circle!
