Have you actually given anything, or are you just cherry picking the more useful stuff from here? Seems like you got called out on it before...but if I am remembering incorrectly, let me just apologize up front for that.

Edit: Yep, my memory didn't fail me, no apology required.

1.) Please stop posting replies in this thread simply letting another poster you sent them a PM. It's useless clutter for the rest of us.
2.) Looks like you're trying to claim all the nicer items as soon as they're posted, but I just went through the last few pages of posts and you haven't offered anything at all yourself. Obviously it's not required since they're freebies and not trades, but it's only courteous. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Otherwise, please don't be so selfish.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had some old SDRAM for an older HP LaserJet to give away. It takes some proprietary 100-pin SoDIMMs, and I think the max it can handle is 64MB. I believe some OEM HP part numbers are C7845A for 32MB and C7846A for 64MB.

It takes a long time to print large PDFs with just the onboard 8MB.

As always, I'd gladly cover the shipping and associated costs.

Thanks!

It's a great printer but not as mac-friendly as I would have liked (crashes CS3 apps). HP's pretty notorious for crummy mac drivers so, when I ran out of ink, I just bought a new Epson printer/scanner.

Works fine and the ink is cheap: ($20 for color and black bundle)

*****/hp-c9351an-c9352an-inkjet-cartridge-combo---p-19669.aspx

I'm guessing shipping will be $20 - if that's an over estimate I'll refund you the difference via paypal.

I hate throwing shit away so, please, take my printer!

Local pick up in Brooklyn, NY is fine.

Looking for very low capacity, 8MB or greater USB thumb drive.

My NAS server only needs an 8MB USB thumb drive to boot. I can hardly find any thing < 1GB for sale these says. It is such a waste to use only 8MB on a 1GB drive. So, if anyone has "retired" thumb drive, please PM me. Thanks.

Found one. Thanks.

I've got quite a lot of stuff I'd love to give away. It's all free, just pay the shipping - let's say $5 per item. If you want multiple items, I'm sure there's a way we can combine shipping. My heat is "Servant of Shodan".

USB adapter for PCMCIA slot on a laptop. It is NOT USB 2.0, so it's a little slower, but has served me well.

If it's similar to the print heads on some of the older models (like my i560), some people suggest to run some isopropyl alcohol through it (or let the nozzle area sit in isopropyl alcohol for a a period of time, ranging from a few hours to overnight). There's more detailed info out there if you search, and I think I initially found this out on www.fixyourownprinter.com.

You may have already tried this, and it probably depends on how bad the print head is clogged, but I've had decent luck using that method to get rid of streaks. After running some IPA through and then letting it sit, I gently cleaned the nozzle with a Q-tip, dabbed it with a paper towel, and let it sit on a paper towel until it was dry.

Tried it all, even took the head apart and cleaned everything out. Still no black, it does get through but it bleeds massively. I'm not going to put much more effort into cleaning it, a replacement would save a ton of hassle.

I figured that you had, but I just threw the information out there for anyone who may be having similar problems (and thus not toss-out a printer due to a fixable issue).

Here's to hoping you find a replacement on the cheap.

You can get those almost as cheap as the cost to ship ($2 delivered) here:

http://www.svc.com/4pinpowsupmo.html

Edit: I have no affiliation with SVC, just sayin' with stuff like this they practically give it away for free, other posters cited $5 shipping charge for things which may be fair but $2 < 5. Mods please delete this post if it's counter to the spirit of the topic.
