It seems all you have to do is speak and dress well these days to be President.

Uhhh.....that's pretty much all you've needed for the past hundred years or so. When's the last time you saw a dumpy looking candidate elected president? They're ALL mouthpieces for their causes, regardless of their political affiliation.

WE DON'T NEED NONE OF THAT FANCY PANTS BOOK LEARNIN' YEEE HAW! *shoots guns in air* - Every Republican ever.

Amazing, how much you show your own short-sighted elitist ignorance in that statement, isn't it? 🙄

Its very possible that Obama recovered gracefully, I honestly don't know. The point was in regards to the difficulty in public speaking. Cain's performance will determine his standing, which isn't so hot. If this happens again, he might as well hang it up as that will go beyond just having a bad day......too much reliance on the management background and not enough prep for foreign affairs.

All that being said, though, I feel as though the top two contenders are by far Romney and Gingrich.

Was Cain's problem really presentation though, or was it content? As has already been said, there is a big difference between messing up the delivery of an idea and having no idea to deliver in the first place.

Every politician in history has stumbled at one point in the many hours they spend talking in front of cameras or audiences. But not being able to articulate a response over as long a period of time as Cain was awkwardly sitting there isn't a temporary verbal screw-up.
