Being part of a culture that celebrates ignorance does not mean that there are not educated people in it. It simply means that the culture prizes ignorance. Considering the crop of candidates that the GOP has turned out in recent years and their explicit campaigning on this ignorance, I'm pretty comfortable with that characterization.

It's not like this forum is the first place to notice this, it has been an enduring complaint about the GOP for years.

... says the fish flopping on the hook of the Democratic party.

BTW, what was the last Presidential slogan that won the election? "Change?" Where's that change again?

I like how a clear verbal misstep is somehow equal to an aggressive rejection of knowledge to you.

Ahh - Obama does it, it's a "clear verbal mistep". A Republican does it, it's an "aggressive rejection of knowledge." Now I know what the ground rules are! 🙄

So you are asserting that Cain simply misspoke and immediately corrected an obvious error as Obama did in the example you cited? Canyou really not see the difference?

Are you being serious right now?

Do you think that Obama genuinely believes there are 57 states? If not, then it is simply a misstep.

Herman Cain is explicitly quoted in this thread as discounting the value of personal knowledge for a president.

This is not a difficult distinction to understand.

"Immediately?" I don't know what "immediately" means to you, but it doesn't mean "the next day, after his PR people crapped their pants" to me.

Yet these "smart" liberals can't seem to do anything but blame Bush, Republicans, the stupid American people.

Perhaps someone could let Obama know that 4 - 2.5 = a metric fuckton of money we don't have. I guess Obama missed math and took a couple AP courses in killing brown people.

?

“Who knows every detail of every country or every situation on the planet? Nobody!”

How is he "discounting the value of personal knowledge" by telling the truth? Or do you think the President *does* know every country and every situation on the planet?

Perhaps there's part of this article that didn't make it's way back to my computer.

Probably just poor reading comprehension on your part. Go back and try again then report back here, ok?

Read it again, to humor you. It's not there. Perhaps I can't see it because I haven't learned the leftist skill of inference as fact. Ok?

Nah, it's just selective interpretation so you can keep supporting your political football team. Such is life.

In other words, you can't, because it doesn't exist. Thanks for admitting it.

Nope, the OP showed it just fine. Looks like I was right the first time with you. Any more windows tips? I figure I might as well ask you about those considering how useless you will be with anything else.

Your feigned ignorance borne of your embarrassment is funny.

?

Asking somebody to copy and paste a line from an article (in other words, backing up the statement they declared as fact) is a "syndrome"? WTF is wrong with you people?

Spidey Syndrome starts off with an acute denial of reality, followed by belligerence towards anyone who points out said denial of reality.
Later symptoms include demanding "proof" of those who point out previous ignorance. Usually in the form of demanding wagers being placed on the validity of the item being argued about.
The final stages include smugness and feelings of superiority when everyone else with a brain gets tired of arguing with the village idiot and have better things to do.

All I asked for is the actual fact from the article, because it's not there. If dealing with facts as opposed to trying to pass off opinion as fact is "butthurt", you guys are really living in some sort of fantasy world.

Sorry for interrupting your cute little tickle pile. You may resume amusing each other in your ignorance.
