Question Building a simple 4-pin PWM-controlled to 3-pin voltage controlled fan adapter?

I know you can plug 3-pin fans into 4-pin headers, this is about getting fan speed control on 3-pin fans with no bios/hardware support for regulating their voltage. I've got dead mobos and PSUs to source parts from, and time to tinker with the idea. I have no background in electronic engineering...

Question Need suggestions for 180mm & 200mm PWM fans.

I'm looking to buy a 3 x 180mm radiator or a 2 x 200mm radiator for a i9-9900K + GPU. Trouble is, I can only find 2 PWM fan models: Phobya G-Silent PWM, 180x25mm, 900rpm, (or here) Noctua NF-A20 PWM, 200x30mm, 800rpm. There are tons of 3-pin models in those sizes (Silverstone, BitFenix, Cooler...

How can I build a silent system where (PWM) fans stop spinning on low temps?

I recently stumbled on silentmaxx.de and the silent PCs they offer and thought about doing a budget DIY thing like they do. When I get a big ass CPU Air cooler like the Alpenföhn Olymp does the fan really need to spin when I am just surfing the web? Maybe I need a even bigger cooler like they...

    Quality 92mm, 45CFM Fan - For TX3 Evo?

'Ey lads, in a bit of a bind. See, the 92mm fan supplied with the TX3 Evo isn't exactly...Good. I've just about reached it's actual life expectancy (bought it in early 2012), and oh god does it make a racket when my CPU is being put through it's paces. Trouble is, there aren't any decent 92mm...

Dell Motherboard CPU Fan Header Question

I upgraded the processor in my work computer at the office but I totally spaced the proprietary CPU_FAN header on the motherboard. I would prefer not to use the stock cooler as it's small, ugly, and probably mostly useless. It also has a rough aluminum base instead of copper and they used cheap...
