As I understand it, you can flash the 9800np to a pro. Can you do anything similiar with other Radeon cards (i.e. the 9600np to 9600 pro)?

I like today's graphical impovments, but I find that gameplay has dropped as a result. When you couldn't sell a game on looks you had to make it play well. But today most games seem sold on looks. Give me mediocre graphics and awesome gameplay and I'll shell out 40-60$.

If you want the 5900 numbers then go back to the previous review. The 9700 Pro was in it because ATI said that the 9600XT would perform similarly to it. The 9800XT was in it so you have a comparison to a high end card. They will probably do the same thing with the 5700 in a few weeks except...

If you're gunna go for a 9600 type card, wait a month (if that) till the XT's are availible. I'm plannin on getting an ASUS 9600XT unless i can land a 9800 Non Pro (not SE) from ebay before that. The 9600XT will run at 500mhz out of box.

I still run a Voodoo4 so I can tell you that a Voodoo4's and Voodoo5's will work fine with WinXP as long as you are willing to play with drivers. I use the Voodoolizer 1.05.02 drivers. I know another guy who uses a Voodoo3 but he doesn't game much so I'm not sure what he uses. You're...

I still fall into 4 of those catagories and yes, high school sucked. But since I got to college I haven't had any problems with either rating :P
