Remember all those horror games like Monster Madness and Maniac Mansion and Ghoul School. Great games. They don't make them like that anymore.

The greatest game ever made for a sports nut like me was on the original 8bit Nintendo NES. Super Tecmo Bowl. I really don't know how many years I tacked onto my college life because of that damn game. :D

Needless to say, best 2d game EVER is The Ledgend of Zelda: A Link to The Past. Don't even try to say no to that, because you know it is.

Yeah, it was the best for first time through, but I still load up the original NES Zelda a lot more than Link to the Past

Actually Secret of Mana I thought was the best ("Square" edit) RPG on the SNES, nothing boggles the mind more than a Square RPG on the SNES that isn't turn-based. The Legend of Zelda a link to the past, was definetely the best rpg on the SNES. The story in Square's RPG's are just too hard to keep up, (there's so many twists and turns). But nothing beats Nintendo's Zelda franchise

Don't forget the Shining Force series on the Sega Genesis

Edit: Added Legend of Zelda thoughts
