Make sure that your power management is turned off or adjusted accordingly. Control Panel\ Power Options - ---> Make sure that Standby and Hibernate is turned off. Try that for starters.

Try putting your RAM in the slots 1 and 2 or 3 and 4 that will give you DDR400 and Dual Channel. I know that book says always put your memory in the green slots first, but it's not dual channel and it's not DDR400, it's DDR333. Maybe I'm doing something wrong..? It appears to work though...
