I found this post a little too late, I took my computer into a tech support place today and it should be fixed by Friday. If they can't fix it I will tell you dclive.

Any way to test which it might be? And what would be a good remedy for each? Thanks

I just made a clean install of Windows XP Pro on my new computer but I am having a lot of problems. First, I constantly get random blue screen errors and fatal errors. I cannot track down the source of these errors, but do you have any ideas?

I guess no one knows.

I installed the ATI Multimedia Center from my ATI Catalyst CD, and they were installed successfully but when I restart my computer it says that the Multimedia Center may not have been installed, but it is in the Start menu. Is there a fix / way to turn it off?

I can get into a game but then the game quits after about 1-3 minutes.

I recently installed Windows XP Pro and after that I installed Call of Duty. I installed all the ATI Catalyst drivers from the CD that came with my video card, and when I first started to play CoD I got about 1 minute into the game and then the game just quit. I tried to restart my computer...

I tried to reinstall XP Pro with only one memory stick in and then when XP restarted I got an error that said "error loading operating system" and I cannot get back to the Windows XP Setup. What can I do to fix this?

So what programs would you recommend to test each component, like memory, hard drive, etc?

Does anyone know why FarCry constantly quits midgame? I have an AMD 64 3200+, 1 gig pc3200 RAM, ATI x800 Pro.

Ok, I got Windows XP installed but it just isn't running very stable right now after I installed some drivers.

I took the computer down to a tech support store and they said everything checked out to be ok except the motherboard, so I RMAed that and the computer worked fine after that so I don' think that its a hardware problem.
