I recently installed Windows XP Pro and after that I installed Call of Duty. I installed all the ATI Catalyst drivers from the CD that came with my video card, and when I first started to play CoD I got about 1 minute into the game and then the game just quit. I tried to restart my computer and I got the same problem again. Any ideas of what my problem could be? Do I need to download anything to fix this?.

BTW. I have an AMD64 3200+, 512 PC3200 RAM, ATI X800 Pro.

Computer basics 101: always download the latest driver for your video card.

What BFG10K said. I am playing through CoD this week and it is running great on my system. I even have lots of AA/AF going on (including the new Temporal AA) and my FPS seem to hover at 85 most of the time.

My system:

AXP 3200+
Abit NF7-S R2
1GB PC3200
BBA 9800 Pro
WinXP Pro SP1a

I use my own NF2 remix and the stock Catalyst 4.7 drivers. DX9.0c is installed as well.

I'm definitely having a great gaming experience with CoD.

COD froze a lot on my computer, I think turning off EAX audio for my Audigy 2 fixed it.

You can also turn off Fast Writes for the video card.

I'm running with FW On and EAX2.0 enabled - no problems. Maybe I just have my BIOS tweaked right. :)
