ahm, under display then "screen saver" then "power" I can set the monitor to turn off after a certain amount of time.
Does anyone else see this? If so, does it work for you?
Swiftech 370-oa. Supposed to have a Papst fan, but this fan is noisy. Temps no higher than 41C.
I presume that bios settings were in default b/c I hadn't played with any of them other than FSB.
How do you lower timing for memory?
I have an EPOX 8k7a+ with and Athlon 1.4 (133x10.5) running w2k
My system contains
2x80HD in RAID0
DVD
CD-r
ATI A-I-W card
and an extra fan, that I removed occasionally to see if the lower power draw would make a difference in system stability. It never did!
So, after following the FAQs and...
I have an Epox 8k7a+ mobo, and I running w2k.
In control panel under display I set monitor to power off in 15 min (or 5 or 10) but it won't turn off. This method works fine using 98se on another PC.
How can I get the monitor to power off in w2k?
I have an Epox 8k7a+ with an Athlon 1.4 @ 1.6 (12x133) Sisoft Sandra showed that the o/c'ing gave me significant improvement :) (+15% in the Dhrystone results), but 3dmark2001 only showed about a 3% improvement.:o
I have not yet done anything to my Radeon A-I-W 32MB card. My primary use for it...

So, heffe734, sounds like you're familiar with this issue.
can I just install the driver from the Via CD (that came with the mobo) or CD-R of the DL'd driver?
The PC in question doesn't have an internet connection.
yeah, onboard sound.
Thanks. I'm Dl'ing now and I'm gonna see what happens.
On a different note, my ATI Radeon installation says that I lack DMA access to my HD and DVD and CD.
What is DMA?
I'm using an Epox EK7A+ with a two drive RAID0 configuration. :)
I have booted with two different floppy drives and with no drive, and I get the message
Floppy Disk Fail (40). I can't load w2k b/c it requires that I load drivers from Drive A. Drive A allows me to read the directory sometimes...
I wish I were more knowledgeable about the 200. I've seen results from the 500, so I know it's good. I'm waiting to chat with an owner that I know (on the 'net) to get more details.
The 200 seems costly enough to be good ;), but I haven't read or seen much about it.
The Radeon All-in-Wonder got good reviews from PC World. Is there a cheaper alternative that works almost as well?
I thought about Hauppauge wintv pv because it has a hardware mpeg2 decoder -- but the recording function of this card does not work on Windows 2000 with the currently released...
