win 2k won't power off monitor

I have an Epox 8k7a+ mobo, and I running w2k.

In control panel under display I set monitor to power off in 15 min (or 5 or 10) but it won't turn off. This method works fine using 98se on another PC.

How can I get the monitor to power off in w2k?

i belive 2k has something called "hibernate" wich only allows the whole thing to go into stand by
not just the moniter

i have the same board. Windows said i don't have standby feature

ahm, under display then "screen saver" then "power" I can set the monitor to turn off after a certain amount of time.
Does anyone else see this? If so, does it work for you?

It works for me but I have an Abit KT7A

U know, I haven't bothered looking into it yet, but it doesn't work on my gigabyte 7dx either....
