Yeah, might be better to show that the DOJ and special council are handling this non politically. In a debate or through ads it would be fully appropriate to go all in and attack Trump on his actions and failures. Hopefully by then there are some jury verdicts to back it up even more.

I think prosecuting him on stealing the documents and obstructing is super clear cut. Yeah, he's definitely guilty for Jan 6th, but that is also harder to prove. trump gave the DOJ this case on a silver platter. He still could be indicted and found guilty in multiple cases, at least we can dream...
If the reports are as damning as they seem to be letting Trump off is even worse, it sets the precedent that the law doesn't apply to the president. Pretty much the same if he gets off the hook for Jan 6. Imagine how much worse it can get with future presidents. Democracy would be over.
