system will not power off with power switch, mobo problem?

Mobo: Giga-byte GA-7DXR My system does not shut off manually with the power switch on the case. Is this an issue with my motherboard? or is it a bios issue? There is an option in the bios for "instant power off" I believe that option is for instant off when I shut down from windows. Anyone...

    unrepairable disk errors (w2k)

ok so here's an update: i've reformatted the computer with the WD ez-install disk. i think it defaults to fat32 format unless you specify that you want fat16 for running NT. i go ahead with the fat32 and then i proceed to install win2k. i was able to install win2k up to the point where it was...

w2k blue screen on boot up

i keep getting the blue screen while booting up. it occurs right after the black screen with the status bar at the bottom. once the status bar is loaded, it goes right into the blue screen. i can't even get it to boot in any of the safemodes. i think it is stopping because of an ntos kernel...

    w2k corrupt file error!

thanks for the suggestions anyways, i have used norton ghost at a prior job. it was used to clone user machine and it was very convient when used to rebuild messed up machines or just to clone new ones. it kind of bugs me that w2k doesn't have a "scandisk" util like 98 did. the chkdsk doesn't...
