Thanks. I will try MS Antispy and WinSockFix. and Yes, I double checked as I did not remember, Cable modem goes into WAN port of router and my computer is hardwired into LAN1. A shared printer is hardwired into LAN2 then the laptops connect wirelessly.

Not sure where to begin troubleshooting this. I have a cablemodem connection to my computer, use a D-Link wireless router for the rest of the house (three other computers). About two or three times a day, by desktop internet connection crashes (just says "operation times out") but the internet...

I'm formatting the disk that was the slave in my configuration as a boot disk (Win XP). How do I remove Win XP from the small former boot disk without reformatting (want to save the data for now)? Steve

Small issue in my build...have CoolerMaster Centurion 5 case (with real crap instruction manual by the way) and Epox 9NPA M/B. The case has wiring for a front audio plugin and the M/B has built in rear audio. M/B instuctions refer to N/C plug (normal close) that turns off rear speakers when...

Noob question again...first build in a long while. The OCZ Mod 450 came with an inch-diameter metal ring that is not mentioned in the directions. I hate extra pieces! Anyone explain what that is for? Steve
