    Overclocking RAM

Well I've done some forum trolling on the website I'm buying the stuff from and almost every single person there reccomend the Crucial Ballistix. People are hitting 250FSB with 2.5-2-2-5 timings, and thats a lot of people too. I reckon if i just slackened the timings, I should be able to get...

    Overclocking RAM

I've ordered my 3200 Winchester and MSI K8N Neo2 Plat. and my next upgrade will be my RAM. I'm looking to get at least 260FSB out of it (for 2.6ghz), possibly more if i get a good chip and my cooling is sufficient. Which RAM is the best to go for? Originally i was going to go for Geil Ultra-X...

    Help me Choose A Processor..

After some advice, im thinking i will wait for the DFI LanPartyUT Nforce3 250GB. That along with the 3000+ should be uber for both price and performance :D (See the Anandtech review on 90nm processors if you havent already ;) ).

    Help me Choose A Processor..

Both in the 90nm variety, the AMD64 3000+ or 3500+? My case cooling will be air. 2x120mm fans on an Antec Super LANboy (though im putting some better fans on if they suck, sorry.. "dont suck" ;) ) and a HSF (havent decided exactly what yet). Also i'll be running it on an MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum...

    Asus Star ice CPU Cooler

@MDE 1) Who cares what it looks like if it cools well? It doesnt look SO bad that you wouldnt want it IMO. 2) Around 600g IIRC, not much. 3) 35 quid, around $55-60USD, not much more than an XP-120 for more performance. 4) See 1)

    great cooling solutions

Looks good, I think i'll try it before i go out and buy a HSF for my new CPU. Don't CPU Fans (the stock ones at least) suck air away from the CPU by default? If so, is there an easy way to reverse it? (I can solder, etc but i'd rather not). Not that it would really matter if I ****ed the Stock...

I really hate Asus tech support

My Mate had troubles with the same board. Can run Windows ME on the Maxtor 120gb SATA Drive (though clearly ME is not preferable :( ), but when installing XP cant get it to detect it (even though he can then go back to ME without a reformat :| ! ). Tried all the drivers onto Floppy's crud and...

    Asus Star ice CPU Cooler

http://www.asus.com/products/p.../starice/overview.htm# Its HUGE :) . I've read reviews saying upto 11*C less than stock on an Intel P4E. beating out even the Thermalright XP-120 and cheap watercooling. I'm definitely getting one :D . P.S: My first post here on the AnandTech Forums :) .
