Both in the 90nm variety, the AMD64 3000+ or 3500+? My case cooling will be air. 2x120mm fans on an Antec Super LANboy (though im putting some better fans on if they suck, sorry.. "dont suck" ;) ) and a HSF (havent decided exactly what yet). Also i'll be running it on an MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum with 1gb of GeIL Ultra-X in dual channel.

I'm buying it either today or tommorrow, and if i can get as much performance out of the 3000+ as the 3500+ i'll be VERY happy and so will my bank account :D .

Anand had an article on the 2-2-2-5 mem. module overclocking ability. You should check out how far your memory can overclock at those luscious times. You might have to buy better stuff or dont have a huge overclock if they can't. Id go with the 3000+ and overclock it though if your mem can take it.

After some advice, im thinking i will wait for the DFI LanPartyUT Nforce3 250GB. That along with the 3000+ should be uber for both price and performance :D (See the Anandtech review on 90nm processors if you havent already ;) ).

Good setup, but don't get the 9800 pro. The geforce 6800 hell of a lot faster, at only 50 dollars more at outpost.com, it's a no-brainer, As the video card is the most important part of a gaming PC (granted the cpu is faster than 2.4Intel of 2400+ amd). And you're not too skimped on cash if you were considering a 3500+, because the increased cost really does'nt justify the speed increase imho

Or you could wait for the agp 6600gt, which I it seems you would'nt want to.
Oh yeah, and 80gb HDD, what gives?
120gb ones are only 50 dollars
200gb ones are only 90

I already have the HDD and Graphics card. The graphics card i'll be updating sometime in the future, but the rest of the system is my priority. The HDD is fine for me, iv had it over a year now i think and ive still got over half of the space left.

Oh and by the way, im English, that site is no good to me and neither are dollars :p .

Anyone know any UK sites stocking the 939 version of the DFI LanpartyUT Nforce3-250GB?
