    IBM R50E or T40?

I've got a T40 that I've lugged all over the country. I stuck a Linksys G WiFi card in it for wireless. It is a pain if you forget the G card at home. I like the weight and thin frame, my older laptops were anchors. I'm using it mostly for Photoshop, Dreamweaver, email, Word etc to run a...

Reading some of the rant...

IBM T40, W2K install, drivers, hardware

IBM T40, W2K install, drivers, hardware. Model 2373-72U I formatted the partition to get rid of XP and installed a fresh W2K. Usual driver headaches. I just ordered the recovery CD from IBM to help get it all sorted out. Right now I would love to just get the Ethernet LAN working so I can use...

Installing Windows 2000 Pro on IBM laptop over XP

I tried to install the W2K but ran into a snag. I can boot to the W2K CD but when I go to install it it, XP will not let me create a new partition. The other 2 install choices are to delete the current XP partition which gives a warning since that will nuke the driver and other hardware stuff...

    "Operating System not found" error

Thanks for the help JAAG, I found some info on the BIOS recovery. It says a disk is needed in the floppy drive. I don't have this disk. Do I need to search out the BIOS info from Phoenix or just wing it without a disk?
