CMOS jumper is set to default 1-2, all BIOS settings are correct as far as I can tell from my experience with two other ASUS mb's. I am not getting any speech post reporter even though it is enabled in the BIOS.

I have an IBM x20 with an open memory slot and I'd like to add a 128 or 256 SoDimm. My qustion is, is there really any difference in the SoDimm memory that people advertise on ebay as an upgrade for HP or IBM or Dell laptops etc? I mean assuming that they are all 144 pin, cas 2, 3.3v, 100mhz...

RossMan, Ive taken to using CF cards like zip disks, especially with the low prices on 128 and 256mb CF cards you can transfer a lot of data from your desktop by way of a jumpshot cable or USB CF reader.

Forgot to mention that there is a Compact Flash slot and two USB ports ;-)
