It was a tough choice between the Sapphire, MSI, and ASUS card.
I went with the Asus because the cooling numbers were the best. However, it is longer than the Sapphire and MSI versions because the cooler was designed for a longer card.
I don't think you can go wrong with any.
I thought the same thing too when I bought it. I nearly went with the sapphire. Although it is lazy to just throw on a cooler designed for a longer card, the cooling is so effective that I could care less. I still have almost 4 inches of space before the card touches the hard drive bays.

Just built a new gaming/all purpose system and I've been trying to max out the performance of all my components.
I have been very pleased with the Asus 7850 thus far. Temperatures are super low even at load. It never goes above 60C in my Corsair 400R case.
Overclocking the Asus...
An overclocked 7850 (1150mhz Core, 1450mz memory) will beat a GTX 570 and start to encroach on a GTX 580.
It all depends on how much your 7850 can overclock. I've seen some reference boards not able to break (1000, 1250).
I just ordered an i5 2500k overclocking rig and I am patiently waiting on the video card. I think a 7850 overclocked seems to a be a good choice at its price point. Just hoping that the cooling solutions are as good as the 7870's that were just reviewed on the main page.
