When I use the DVD drive (Lite-On DVD ROM) in my system I get a high pitch sound coming out of my Z-640 speakers - as the drive speed increases so does the pitch of the sound. Any suggestions?

I'm running this board with two sticks of Corsair 3200 XMS Plat LL memory and running great - no problems with the speed.

Those numbers come strait from the Easy Tune program - the temp is varying between 29 to 30.

Right now I am showing CPU @ 29C - Sys Bus @145MHz - CPU Fan @ 2250 - Sys Fan @ 1140 and Power Fan @ 1493 - VCore A @ 1.53 - Speed of CPU 2.898MHz. How does this sound.

I just set my first system up and everyting seems to be running smooth and stable. I was in the Easy Tune program that came with my Gigabyte 8PE667 Ultra2 mobo and saw a warning - flashing in green "CPU fan 1150 rpm" then "CPU fan 2000 rpm" changing every couple of seconds. Is this something...

How does this setup of parts sound - anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do help it rund better and faster?

Just received my order of 12 AAA Duracell and 16 AA Duracell NIMH batteries from MCM. Subtotal 22.44 - Shipping 9.62 for a total of 32.06. You don't know what the shipping charges are until after they ship - not good business practices IMO.

I am new to building computers (this will be my first) and need suggestions on a good case for around the $100 area. At this point I have purchased the OS - the HD - the CDR/RW - and am now ready to buy the case. I am wanting to use an Intel 2.5 or greater Processor and an 845 or 850 chipset...
