OK, thanks. When you mentioned earlier you got the *digital* audio working, I thought you meant you got the SPDIF audio option working.
The IR Keyboard is seen to the MB as identical to a PS/2 keyboard. Works in the BIOS and on up through DOS and Windows (any flavor) and I'm sure Linux as...
Win XP installed with no unusual questions or problems for me on this MotherBoard. The only flakey thing I discovered was that the CMOS backup battery was dead on my MB. If you set up your CMOS it will not hold it's settings. I'd bet that most of the batteries in these MBs are dead.
Please...
mindless1, I'm not following on your memory tuning suggestions. Are you on the "Advanced Chipset Features" page in the BIOS setup? Do you turn off "Auto Configuration" which enables a large number of additional settings? Where do you "set the memory to +33 async mode?" I am using your...
Memory benchmarks on my system do show the DRAM access speed sucks. Any suggestion which BIOS settings should be adjusted to improve this? The manual does not help much.
Does anyone know if the IR keyboard can generate function keys (i.e. F1, F2, ... F12)?
It would also be great if we could map the special keys on the IR keyboard to a user selected function or to launch a program.
Mindless1, you are a very generous person. I don't blame you for your modded bios. I think once in a blue moon this kind of thing happens. I'm going to try a local computer repair shop to see if they will flash my bios. If I don't have any luck I'll contact you about your offer. Thanks to...
Got my rig up. First thing I did was flash my bios with the one mindless1 created. After the flash it said press F1 (hmm, there are no F keys on the IR keyboard???) Anyway, I hit the key next to Esc and the system rebooted. When it came up the next time, all I get are beep, pause, beep...
I've troubleshooted my system problem down to the MB. We'll see how package2you handles this issue.
One question I haven't seen answered - although the P2 connector was determined as the right place for the IR receiver, the orientation of the cable pluged into the MB has not been described...
I received my NetVista case from bargainland today via Fedex. Nice they used fedex saturday delivery.
The case was very dirty. Note that the NetVista case I got was set for 220 V and you have to slide a red switch to set it for 110 V.
I installed my SFF motherboard in it and the system is...
I purchased an IBM NetVista case on ebay from bargain-liquidation. I paid on 12/4 but have received no shipping confirmation/tracking number. I've tried to email them 3 times without a reply. Has anyone else ordered from them and can share their experiance? Any suggestions on how to proceed?
I just got the processor I ordered, it is a Celeron 950 FCPGA coppermine (OEM). It was only $42 from here:

I'm still waiting for my Netvista case to be delivered so I haven't powered it up yet but it's specs all seem to be supported by this MB.
mindless1 - thank you for all your work and sharing it with all of us.
I am waiting for my MB and parts to be delivered, but I've been following your investigation.
Seems like you've proven that the IR receiver supplied by P2You emulates a PS/2 keyboard and mouse. Usually there are separate...
Ooops. I did order a Tualatin Celeron (FCPGA*2*). Guess that cpu uses a lower voltage this MB does not support. This makes CPU selection more frustrating...
