Does it take a long time to start up? If it does I had this same problem and it was a bad user profile. I just had to create a new profile and delete the other one.
I have currently upgraded to an XP 2000 and was wondering if the volcano 7 is sufficient cooling. And if anyone could point me in the direction of some nice quiet fans for high end machines like 1.5 and up.

I just got an external CDRW made by sony. It is Firewire. What I need to know is can firewire be loaded into DOS. What I am trying to do is burn an image (norotn Ghost 2001) of a laptop to a disc (image) to ghost it to another laptop. I'm not sure if firewire can be loaded in DOS. Any help would...
Ihave xp duel boot with 98se, a second machine with ME and a third machine that has 98se. All use ICS (internet connection Sharing). works very well. Your best bet is to get a router. since you have cable. All you would have to do is tell the PC's to goto the gateway of the router for internet...
I've used Ghost with 2k,nt,server,98se with no problems. The best way to do it is to use the Ghost Boot Disk. Very nice. 1 floppy and its done. Ghosted about 16gigs in about 15 min to a 40gig (both western digital) very easy. Need some help... rosebud6@core.com

I just recently put a duel boot on a system,98se+XP. 98 first, then XP. After the installation was complete for XP, It said that I needed a password to log into XP. I never set a password for either OS. Can't logon as administrator either, any way around this.

I am currently using xp pro and ME in a network with an smc router and have not had any probs yet. File and printer sharing working like a dream. Nice and easy to get them working also. Although, I'm using dialup. cable not availible in my area *sucks*. Oh well guess...
I've decided to set it up on my other PC, it has two identical hard drives. I can get the bios for the RAID card to recognize both hard drives. but it still wont boot.It has an option to set the mode in the "set device mode" . any input?
