Is there a way to apply Microsoft's XP patches and updates to an XP machine that has no way to connect to the Internet? I'd like to be able to download them on another machine and then burn them to a CD. Thanks.

go to the windows update site on the connected machine, then add a ?corporate=true to the end of the URL. it'll download the isntallers and then you can burn them to a CD or something to get them on the isolated box. :)

well, what if your connected system is NOT win2000 or XP ?
Guess you have to locate each fix manually, and then........ download, if at all possible.......

The commercial download sites exist for all versions of Windows.

Ok, lets rephrase that..... :D

The machine to download on has not XP or 2000, but I still want the update for them.
While trying that link further up here, message from MS says :

"Thank you for your interest in Windows Update

Windows Update is the online extension of Windows that helps you get the most out of your computer.

The latest version of Windows Update is only available on computers that are running Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP."

So, whats up with that ? Win98 no good for downloading corporate XP updates, or.... ?

nice to have more control on the update with the actual files instead of autopilot on the web
