I think EA wants them on sale right away to get some copies into circulation, to start the "feeding frenzy". As with BF1942, word of mouth will sell more copies than any printed ad.
I thought I saw NWN on clearance at Target sometime in the last couple of weeks...might have been $29.99 or $23.99. YYMV of course...especially at Christmas time. It seems like they take most of the good stuff off of clearance because people will buy just about anything cheap to give as a gift.

Mad Dog rebates are notoriously bad. You will need to register the product's serial number on their website to get the rebate, and it WILL be 6 months before you get it.
