I think EA wants them on sale right away to get some copies into circulation, to start the "feeding frenzy". As with BF1942, word of mouth will sell more copies than any printed ad.

I thought I saw NWN on clearance at Target sometime in the last couple of weeks...might have been $29.99 or $23.99. YYMV of course...especially at Christmas time. It seems like they take most of the good stuff off of clearance because people will buy just about anything cheap to give as a gift.

Mad Dog rebates are notoriously bad. You will need to register the product's serial number on their website to get the rebate, and it WILL be 6 months before you get it.

No...the deal is still alive. Go thru Amazon.com's link to Circuit City and order it there. It's showing up as available for local pickup...just did it myself. All of the rebates are valid as well, including the gift card.

Burn in is not really an issue anymore, unless you're still playing Pong or Space Invaders or some other basic game that has a fixed playing screen. You could play Battlefield 1942 for the next 10 years and not have a burn in problem. The only place I ever saw screen burn in was at my job, on...
