Will this work on an Asus A7N8X deluxe board? I remember something about AGP 8X only. Thanks

DON'T BUY AN MX CARD TO DO ANY GAMING WITH! Unless you're going to be playing the original Doom in 320x200 don't buy this card. The MX's have half the pipelines of their big brothers so they can't mantain the framerate. You'll get serious chopping and shuttering when you try to use it for anything. I'm not just talking out of my a$$ here I have one and its horrible.

You didn't specify which MX you have. The GF2 MX is much slower than the GF4 MX. The GF4 MX supports fast-Z clear, Z-Compression and has a 2 way crossbar memory interface, plus much faster core and memory speeds.
But yeah, don't buy the GF4 MX to play any new games, it's too slow. It's fine for older games like Quake3 and Unreal Tournament.
There are different versions of the GF4 MX that aren't too bad, like the GF4 MX440 (non-SE version). It has a faster core speed (275MHz) and faster memory (6.4GB/s bandwidth or 8GB/s with the AGP8x version). Then on the other end of the scale is the PNY GF4 MX440-SE which only has a 64-bit DDR memory interface (or 128-bit SDR interface on another GF4 MX440-SE version), which is much slower than the Mad Dog GF4 MX440-SE.
