Is there a huge difference between 90mm and 92mm fans?

I just ordered 80mm fans and when they arrived realised they're too small and my fans are more like 90mm. I can't find anything about the official size of my computer's fans (hp compaq 5800), does anybody know if it takes two 90/92mm fans? I just don't want to make another mistake. Sorry I know...

Also, if my RAM timings are set to 'auto' shouldn't that pick the best timings automatically?

Motherboard has trouble with amount of RAM

When I look physically in my computer it goes first slot: micron second: corsair third: micron fourth: corsair but my CPU-Z txt file that I've pasted here seems to write it as micron micron corsair corsair so I'm a bit confused. :|

Motherboard has trouble with amount of RAM

That's so weird, I swear I put the matching pairs in 1 and 3 and 2 and 4. It's running dual channel and it's how they were placed when I got the computer with its two sticks in... but from the info I've put it looks like slot 1 and 2 match and then 3 and 4. Quite confused. And is Micron slowest...

Motherboard has trouble with amount of RAM

Ok, with all RAM sticks in and Micron sticks still in slots 1 and 3 the BIOS memory timings now say: timing mode: auto memclock index mhz:333mhz CAS latency: 2.5 min RAS active time: 7t RAS to CAS delay: 3t Row precharge time: 3t Row cycle time: 10t Row refresh cycle time: 12t read-to-write...

Motherboard has trouble with amount of RAM

Ok when I go into BIOS with the two Micron sticks in 1 and 3 it shows 400Mhz and says timing mode is set to auto. It also says: CAS latency: 3 min RAS active time: 8t RAS to CAS delay: 3t Row precharge time: 3t Row cycle time: 11t Row refresh cycle time: 14t read-to-write time: 5t write recovery...

Motherboard has trouble with amount of RAM

Okey-doke. Just checked and the DRAM thingy seems to already be T2. I'll do a CPU-Z scan with just the Micron RAM sticks in (in slot 1 and 3) and then put in the Corsair in also to see if anything changes in a scan and if it does then I set the memory settings to either what timings showed when...

Motherboard has trouble with amount of RAM

Ok thanks :) If I still fail what is the best RAM to leave in? :) I know dual channel is good but if 4gb dual channel continues to crash should I drop down to 2GB or run single channel 3gb? Or even single channel 3.5gb using 1 512mb stick I have which def works in there but might not match...

Also read something about "T2" being better? I'll see if my PC is set to that.

Motherboard has trouble with amount of RAM

I'd give up but some people have made it work >.< e.g. "I've been trying to make sense of this issue as well. It seems that the ASUS A8N-SLI Premium still has some sort fo issue though with running 4GB (or sticks) of RAM, despite the processor revisions. I'm running 4gb no problem at 400...

Thanks for the replies :) it seems all of you are using better phones than the one I was planning on getting (Galaxy Ace 2 not to be confused with the Galaxy S 2) but still useful.

Motherboard has trouble with amount of RAM

I see your point but don't know how to replace a motherboard, I really don't think I'm at that level/want to take that risk on a computer which is working really nicely. Having more RAM would be nice but it isn't worth the hassle/risk right now in my life or the cost of an entirely new computer...

Motherboard has trouble with amount of RAM

I figured out how to get it to recognise all 4GB of memory weeks ago (memory remapping), it's the BSOD and freezing I need to fix. :( I've not tried flashing a BIOS yet because I've heard it's risky. :|
