Gigabyte EP45-UD3P fails to resume from sleep

If you can test with 8GB, it would be interesting to know if it still works.

Gigabyte EP45-UD3P fails to resume from sleep

How much memory do you have in your board, I'm wondering if it's an 8GB thing?

Gigabyte EP45-UD3P fails to resume from sleep

Hi n7, thank you for your reply, I read that thread: http://www.xtremesystems.org/F...d.php?t=205132&page=90 It is a huge thread dealing with all sorts of issues, and since I only have problems with sleep, I was hoping to get better tracktion with a dedicated thread. I was also hoping that...

Hi gpgofats, have you ever tried with 8GB of RAM?

Gigabyte EP45-UD3P fails to resume from sleep

I am not aware of any "horrible" problems with Vista and sleep, I use it on 3 DELL notebooks, 2 DELL workstations, 3 Lenovo notebooks, 2 self built Intel mobo machines, 1 self built AOpen mobo machine, 1 self built Asus mobo machine, and 1 self built Gigabyte mobo machine, all using sleep, none...

    GA-EP45-UD3P version 1.1 vs. 1.0

Since we are going off-topic a bit, I started a dedicated thread here: http://forums.anandtech.com/me...=2281869&enterthread=y

Gigabyte EP45-UD3P fails to resume from sleep

I cannot get my Gigabyte EP45-UD3P to resume from S3 sleep. Why do I need S3 and sleep, to save energy and to have instant on. Whenever the system resumes from sleep it enters into an endless reboot sequence that requires the plug to be pulled before it will restart. I've seen some...

    GA-EP45-UD3P version 1.1 vs. 1.0

Exactly the same here, I have to pull the plug to get the endless sequence to stop. I got the G.Skill F2-8800CL5Q-8GBPI memory today, will install it tonight and see if it makes any difference.

    GA-EP45-UD3P version 1.1 vs. 1.0

First, it is supposed to work. Second, I want to conserve power when the machine is not in use. Third, I want the machine to be instantly on when I need it.

    GA-EP45-UD3P version 1.1 vs. 1.0

Yes I did, same problem, all tests pass, memory, load, etc., just resume from S3 fails. The review mentioned they used G.Skill memory for their 8GB test, I ordered some, should get it in a few days, and I hope that solves the problem.

    GA-EP45-UD3P version 1.1 vs. 1.0

I got the EP45-UD3P board from Amazon, it is a v1.1, but resume from sleep / S3 still fails :(

    GA-EP45-UD3P version 1.1 vs. 1.0

Hmm, then I better get a v1.1 board. I am having stability problems with my current EP45-DS3R with 8GB RAM and my Q9650. After reading the great review on the EP45-UD3P I decided to stop fiddling with my EP45-DS3R and just get a new board. P.

    GA-EP45-UD3P version 1.1 vs. 1.0

Ok, thank you, I ordered a board from Amazon, hope it is a 1.1, but if changes were cosmetic I won't mind too much if it is a 1.0.

    GA-EP45-UD3P version 1.1 vs. 1.0

Hi, I've not been very lucky with my GA-EP45-DS3R with a Q9650 and 8GB RAM (fail to resume from S3, currently dead). I just read the AnandTech article on the GA-EP45-UD3P, and I want one. I now notice on the Gigabyte site that there is a version 1.0 and a version 1.1 board. What is the...
