its because the p991 uses a trinitron tube, i have the same one. Dont worry about them, most people here use trinitron tubes cause they have good qualtity

I have the Onkyo TXSR5000 reciever and it is great. I'm using it for a stereo setup also, I have it hooked up to two Klipsch Cornwalls I got from my parents old house it sounds absolutely awesome. I'd highly recommend this reciever for someone one a bit of a budget.

go with a light-on burner as you can probably get a 40x for the same price as a plextor 12x and why not go DDR ram as the prices are pretty much the same.

i just bought pretty much the exact same rig on sunday, expecting it tomorrow, except i went for the gigabyte mobo, and a gf4 4200. I'm hoping to OC my 1.8a to 2.4 also, i only got the corsair xms pc2700 ddr though. looks good, good luck with it.

its works now, thanks for the help, apparently there was some dust on the jack coming out of the computer and it came out when i took the headphones out, weird that it got in there all of a sudden, buts its all good now. thanks again.

headphones get both channels, i've jiggled wires, its weird because the right speaker still makes the feedback noise at higher volume levels and all the controls on it work as well.
